Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies!

We bake so many delicious thing at The Fat Birds Bakery, we thought it was about time to share some of our top secret recipes! Well…they might not be top secret but the are pretty easy to make!

Check out the recipe below to make the EASIEST chocolate chip cookies you’ve ever tasted!

You will need:

130g butter

80g brown sugar

80g caster sugar

1 medium egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

180g plain flour

1/2 tsp bicarbonate soda

1x bag of chocolate chips

TOP TIP: granulated sugar works just as well!

  1. Pre heat the oven to 180 degrees

  2. In a bowl cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy

  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract

    TOP TIP: salted caramel extract is a great alternative

  4. Add the flour and bi carb and mix unitl a dough is formed

  5. Add the chocolate chips and mix

    TOP TIP: If you don’t have any chocolate chips, chop up a chocolate bar into chucks instead!

  6. Roll the mixture into 10 even sized balls, place on a baking tray for 12 minutes or until the edges of the cookie are firm

    TOP TIP: Leave the cookies to cool before moving them

We love to add different toppings to our cookies! Why not melt some chocolate on top of the cooled cookies and add your favourite chocolates!
